Ladies County Championship (HCLGA)
Congratulations to Charlie Field who has been selected for the Hertfordshire Ladies team to play in County Match Week in June. Good luck to them - they have won for the last 2 years and progressed to the national finals so we need lots of support again this year. Put the date in your diaries 14th - 18th June at West Herts golf Club. Please come and support the team they do appreciate it. Jackie Foster is the Team Captain so the Club Captain will be watching to see who comes and supports the girls!
The championship was won by the defending Champion - Alison Franklin of Harpenden.
Charlotte Field, Morag Morrison and Tina Jeary all qualified for the matchplay stage by coming in the top 16 of a 36 hole medal competition last Friday. Tina wasn't able to play at the weekend but the others did.
Morag lost in the quarter final.
Charlotte came up against a +2 handicapper on a birdie fest but put up a great fight in the semi final.
After the championship the team representing Hertfordshire in the Eastern Region County Match Week was announced and Charlie was selected with Morag being selected as a non travelling reserve.
